The UK based Application Developers Alliance has launched an IoT competition for developers and pre-launch startups in partnership with Ericsson and Google to “spur innovation in this rapidly growing market.”
The competition, IoT{Accelerate}Berlin will “focus on areas as diverse as the connected home, utilities, healthcare, telematics, wearables and big data.” It comes with a €20,000 prize, mentorship from industry experts and funding to attend key IoT events. It centres around a 48-hour program of workshops, concept planning and an industry pitch, that takes place from 27th-29th March 2015 at the Rainmaking Loft, Berlin.
The Application Developers Alliance is a non-profit global membership organisation that supports developers as creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs. It claims to “promote the continued growth of the industry and advocate on behalf of our members on public policy and industry issues [and to serve] a growing membership of tens of thousands of developers and hundreds of companies including: mobile app publishers, platforms, wireless carriers, hardware manufacturers, ad networks, enterprise tools and service providers.”
