Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak (now an Australian citizen and adjunct professor at the University of Technology Sydney’s Centre for Quantum Computation and Intelligent Systems) is on a whirlwind speaking tour of Australia and New Zealand this week, starting in Auckland on 23 August, followed by Perth (24th), Brisbane (26th), Melbourne (27th) and Sydney (28th).
The tour is being organised by Think Inc, “a young, Australia-based initiative dedicated to reinvigorating the excitement of rational discourse in daily conversation.”
Wozniak’s appearances in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney will be hosted by Dr Jordan Nguyen, best known as the developer of a mind-controlled ‘smart’ wheelchair for people with high-level physical disability (His doctorate project at University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2012). He has gone on to build a reputation as an engineer, academic, and public intellectual. He founded Psykinetic a social business creating inclusive and empowering technology for disability.
