Melbourne based global training organisation, the Vumero Institute, is running a four day IoT Festival in Melbourne from June 3 to June 6, 2017.
It will comprise a two day IoT hackathon, the IoT Cup on June 3 and June 4, followed by a one day conference on June 5 and field trips and tours on June 6.
Vumero says the conference will have over 50 speakers and 450 attendees. It will have four streams: IoT Strategy & Security; Smart Cities & Campuses; Connected Transport & Infrastructure; Agriculture and Food.
The inaugural IoT Cup is billed as “a fun, innovative competition for university students, academics and professionals to showcase their creativity, technology expertise and passion for business innovation in the Internet of Things,’
Its mission is “to celebrate skills of forward-thinking professionals and students that can prepare, adapt, thrive and lead in the next major technology growth area – IoT – and will drive a new competitive advantage for Australia and New Zealand.”
Participating teams can choose to compete in one of three tracks: Food & Agriculture; Connected Transport & Infrastructure; Smart Cities & Campuses.
