ASX-listed Buddy Platform (ASX: BUD) is staging a capital city roadshow in May to promote its recently-launched Buddy Ohm, resource monitoring system for buildings and facilities. What it describes as small-group hands-on events will be held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
The events are intended for building management and facility operators/managers; electrical installers, people responsible for sustainability and environmental initiatives, energy consultants and anyone with an interest in the technology.
Buddy Ohm, launched in March comprises a base station that communicates with the Buddy Platform over 3G and hard-wired sensors connected to small battery powered transmitters that communicate with the base station using wireless technologies based on the DECT cordless phone system, and in the DEC frequency band.
It is designed to be used with the Buddy IoT platform to give building managers and owners a simple, easy to understand overview of how their facilities are consuming resources (or in the case of solar, generation).
