Tuesday 5 March marks the centenary of the birth of Australian computer pioneer Trevor Pearcey, leader of team that built one of the first digital computers, and the oldest still surviving.
The Pearcey Foundation is celebrating at the University of Sydney 3:00-7:00pm. The event will be hosted by Prof Ben Eggleton, Director of The University of Sydney Nano Institute and will honour Dr Pearcey’s remarkable local and global contributions to the modern computing era and to science more broadly. It will also function as a showcase of Australia’s contemporary science-driven leadership.
