Israeli artificial intelligence company Onvego has developed technology to enable industrial IoT devices to be controlled securely by voice commands.
It is designed for noisy industrial environments where many people might be speaking simultaneously. Onvego co-founder and CEO Roy Gurion said the voice assistant could run efficiently off-line, even on small CPUs.
“The Onvego solution can identify one speaker voice from another while disregarding the environmental noises in the background. In addition, the Onvego solution’s ability to run on private cloud adds to its stringent security,” he said.
Onvego says it already has customers and on-site implementations for the software running on both fixed and mobile devices.
“Additional capabilities include supporting different languages and accents, effective machine learning used for quick training in enterprise contents, as well as specific functions for building effective voice control and verbal dialogue if needed.”
Onvego claims offer a complete toolbox that enables enterprises and developers to build speech-based conversational interfaces, quickly and easily.
“Onvego’s platform enables developers to seamlessly integrate smart natural language conversational interfaces into their products in order to create user-friendly, voice-enabled free language interfaces for their apps and IoT,” it says.
“The platform incorporates built-in natural language understanding and other artificial intelligence technologies – but does not require developers to have an expertise in these fields.”
It is eying a massive potential market for its technology, saying many IoT companies are trying to embed voice control into their IoT devices.
