Chinese smartphone maker realme will debut its latest IoT products and unveil its 5G plans in a global online event scheduled for 20:00 hours AEDT on 24 February 24 that will live stream via YouTube, Facebook and realme.com.
The company — which claims to be the fastest growing smartphone brand — says it will launch “impressive smart technologies that cater to younger customers throughout 2020 with a dual focus on creating smartphones and IoT devices.”
realme launched its first 5G smartphone in China, the ‘5G Youth Flagship’ realme X50 5G, on 7 January. It was one of the first smartphones to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor.
realme is a sister company of Chinese smartphone maker Oppo: both are subsidiaries of Chinese company BBK Electronics. It was founded in 2018 as an Oppo brand and later spun off. It now operates in 25 markets.
