NNNCo has teamed up with Dutch manufacturer of wireless soil moisture sensors Sensoterra to bring its products to the Asia Pacific.
Sensoterra’s LoRaWAN soil moisture probes are available on the LoRAWAN AS923 band (923MHZ) enabling the devices to work on LoRaWAN networks across Australia and Asia Pacific.
An NNNCo spokesperson told IoTAustralia the company had funded stock of the probes jointly with Sensoterra for distribution in Australia.
“We have fully integrated the product into the NNNCo network, data platform and visualisation platform so that customers can easily deploy and scale soil moisture monitoring solutions,” they said. “And we’re working on cross-Tasman opportunities to supply the product into New Zealand on our network.”
Sensoterra’s commercial director, Bas Van Der Velden, said NNNCo would provide local warehouseing for the company’s products.
NNNCo CEO, Rogb Zagarella said soil moisture monitoring was a key use case for LoRaWAN in Australia to give farmers real-time insights helping them to make better decisions and maximise their water usage, crop performance and yields and improve operational efficiencies.
